James Blunt started off as an unknown British military captain who served with NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo and a member of the Life Guard Regiment in the British Household Cavalry. However, he became a worldwide singing sensation overnight when he released his first album Back to Bedlam back in 2004. In 2007, Blunt released 1973 a CDM or compact disc maxi single that includes the title track which was the first single released from All the Lost Souls, “Annie (Live from The Garden Shed)” co-written by Jimmy Hogarth and “So Happy” co-written with Felix Howard. The song “1973” was inspired by the club scene in Spain’s famous island Ibiza where Blunt owns property.
